Winnie's Wanders is a dog care service that was created on the idea and hope of providing the best form of balanced exercise, stimulation, and care for your four legged family member. I aim to become an ally in your pet's care and in their life. I pride myself on providing a balanced, reliable, consistent, and caring service that is healthy and rewarding for your pet.
I have worked to customize and specialize a number of services for my clients and their pets. I focus on satisfying pet's physical, mental, and behavioral needs. Located in Alfred, Maine, I offer a variety of services, including hiking, day care, and pet sitting.
ABOUT CHALANDA MENDEZ
Welcome to the Winnie's Wanders website! My name is Chalanda (the “Ch” is pronounced “Sh”). I come to the table with every kind of animal experience imaginable! I have completed an Associate Degree in Animal Management at SUNY Jefferson in 2012, and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Equine Management from Mount Ida College in 2015. I have spent the last decade learning and building on my dog care and training skills. I regularly attend seminars and training groups to keep my skills growing and sharp. Not only do I have experience handling, grooming, training, exercising and socializing dogs, I am also capable of caring for penguins, hoofstock of all kinds, waterfowl and raptors!! So if any of you are thinking of adding to your pet pool, I've got you covered!! When I'm not busy caring for other animals, I am a proud mama to my dogs; Winston, Sky, Raff, and Luther, as well as horses; Dan, Oreo, and Rocky.
